Our Food Story
As third-culture kids, we were raised navigating between Kenyan and American cultures. At home, our meals were a blend of traditional Kenyan dishes and "Kenyanized" versions of Western favorites — think bolder flavors, richer spices, and an abundance of fresh vegetables.

Growing up, whenever we invited our American friends to a Kenyan event, we’d often hear the same question: "You eat this well every day?" Initially, we didn’t think much of it, as it was simply the food we grew up with. But as we traveled and encountered diverse cultures, we began to realize how underappreciated and misunderstood the complexity and brilliance of Kenyan and African cuisine truly is.
